Planned Parenthood arsonist gets 11 years in prison

The fact that Francis Grady was "an incompetent arsonist" was no reason to give him a light sentence for trying to torch a reproductive health clinic, U.S. District Judge William Griesbach said Thursday.

Griesbach rejected a defense argument for a five-year prison term and instead imposed 11 years, with an additional three years on extended supervision. Grady, 50, received 10 years in prison for arson and one year for causing damage to a property that provides reproductive health services.
