Bubba J BBQ serves up smokey Southern flavor

A new restaurant is serving up the best of Southern flavors and hospitality in Kewaunee at Bubba J BBQ, 303 Harrison St. Smoked pork, bold barbecue sauces, corn bread and even sweet tea is pleasing customers from near and far, just as owners Joe Mills and Will Almstadt intended.

Bubba J BBQ opened in December in what had been Nitti's Italian Restaurant just one year ago. Mills was hired as a chef at Nitti's, which added barbecue to the menu last spring.
