The Back to School 2013 team is getting back to work coordinating various aspects of this "getting ready for school" event for the 2013-14 school year; and looking forward to another successful event.

Back to School 2013 event coordinators are excited to announce that Back to School's Distribution Day on Saturday, Aug. 24 will take place at its new location -- the Boys & Girls Club and YMCA. Also new this year, Back to School will partner with Loaves & Fishes.

To accomplish its objectives, Back to School relies on the support of various churches, local service agencies, businesses, and caring individuals to provide funds and/or purchase needed school supplies.

In 2012, over 1,000 area children benefited from the efforts and involvement of this community-wide team. Anyone interested in joining one of our sub-teams, which include registration, publicity, supply and distribution, fund-raising or volunteer recruitment - is invited to the organizational meeting on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. in the YMCA/Boys & Girls Club multi-purpose room.

Back to School is a program that works. Join us as we reach out to the children of Fond du Lac. Help make a difference in a child's life -- one child at a time.
