Jordan Blakeslee has been named a finalist in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. He is the son of Kathy and Michael Blakeslee and is a senior at St. Mary's Springs Academy High School.

The nationwide pool of finalists represents less than one percent of United States' high school seniors.

To become a finalist, a student must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, participate in school and community activities, demonstrate leadership abilities, and have exceptional scores on the PSAT and SAT tests.

This spring, merit scholars will be named from the pool of national finalists. Congratulations goes out to Jordan!
