Wausau officials want to have a say in how Marathon County spends the roughly $10 million in sales tax it collects every year.

City Finance Committee Chairman Bill Nagle said he would like Wausau to get some of the money the county receives from retail sales and licensing fees. Nagle said the city is home to numerous restaurants and shopping destinations - making it responsible for a large portion of the county's sales tax revenue.
