Joe Umlauf says he wasn't trying to make a statement by pinning his way through the 132-pound weight class during Saturday's WIAA Division 1 sectional tournament.

The Wausau West senior wrestled a grand total of 7 minutes, 30 seconds, with his longest match in the finals against Menomonine's Logan Schlough, which lasted 5:34.

"It was a tough sectional and I was just trying to wrestle the best I can, "said Umlauf, one of five sectional champions for the Warriors. "I'm just very determined right now. We have weeks left in the season and I'm hoping to win two state titles." ...
