Women's basketball: Seniors carry Pointers past Eau Claire

It was only fitting that on Senior Day, the three University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point players honored made sure Saturday wouldn't be their last game in Berg Gym.

Sam Barber, Brooke Allen and Liz Althoff put the rest of the team on their collective shoulders in their final Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season game.

The trio combined for 40 points, including 16 by Barber in the second half and the No. 23 Pointers rallied to upend UW-Eau Claire 66-55 and lock up the third seed for the WIAC tournament next week. ...
