? Gov. Scott Walker in his budget proposal will seek nearly $100 million for new systems to track jobs data and tie higher-education funding to specific job-training requirements, according to a report.

? Wisconsin cranberry growers saw a record crop in 2012. According to new data from the state's agriculture department, last year saw 4.83 million barrels produced, a 9 percent increase from 2011. Cranberry industry supports approximately 3,400 jobs in Wisconsin, according to an industry group.

? At least some Wisconsin employers were reluctant to support a call in President Barack Obama's State of the Union address to increase the federal minimum wage to $9. Opponents of the proposal say it will force employers to cut jobs.

? Stevens Point will take another $1.7 million loan on its plan to redevelop downtown's CenterPoint MarketPlace property, putting the total cost to the city at $7.6 million.
