Thousands of "plungers" decked out in bikinis, neon-colored tutus and super hero capes took a dip in Millers Bay at Menominee Park Saturday for the 13th Annual Fox Valley Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Mike Bennett, adviser for the UWO Circle K Club, was one of the few brave participants who donned a Speedo for the event.

He told club members that if they were able to raise more than $1,000 for Special Olympics, then he would take the plunge while wearing his barely there bathing suit. ...
