New on the job

? Terry Hoover, a certified public accountant, has joined the business valuation, litigation and transaction support services practice at Wipfli. Hoover, formerly a director at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, has more than 27 years of experience in all aspects of transaction services. He works out of the Fox Cities office.

? Zach Champeau, director of business development, has joined LAUNCH Photography, Film & Video Inc., Green Bay.

? Kristen Kirsten, sales manager, has joined Cornerstone Mortgage. The UW-Stevens Point graduate has 11 years of mortgage lending experience. Cornerstone has offices in De Pere and Green Bay.

? John Ziefel has joined the packaging division sales team at Van Lanen, a family-owned printing company in Green Bay.

? John D'Angelo is a shareholder with Stellpflug Law, De Pere. D'Angelo's practice focuses on criminal defense and family law . He graduated from Creighton University Law School in Omaha, Neb., in 2004.

? Bob Leonowicz has been promoted to the position of industrial sales at Hurckman Mechanical Industries, Green Bay. He has been with Hurckman Mechanical for four years and has more than 35 years of experience in the industrial refrigeration industry.

? Rob Butler, Van Lanen's top-performing sales person, has been named vice president of sales and marketing. Mike Fuller has been named vice president of operations.


? Phillip Clampitt,
University of Wisconsin-Green Bay professor of information and computing science, was named the John P. Blair Endowed Chair in Communication. An endowed chair permanently adds a full faculty position in a focused area of importance to the donor and to the university.


? Somerville received an award for the sustainable design of the new Hillcrest Primary School in Shawano, and a second award for the design of the new engineering systems at the existing Dickinson Elementary School, De Pere. Somerville received these Special Citation Awards at the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance's Annual Conference.

? Smet Construction Services' president, Scott Smet, was named Networker of the Year at The Jack Miller Construction and Development Network meeting in Orlando, Fla. Smet, a design/build construction management firm headquartered in Green Bay, sent the following team to the meeting: Paul Belschner, vice president and chief financial officer; Kevin Hansen and Danielle Kerkhoff, project managers; Lisa Grassman, preconstruction specialist/estimator; and Karen Klevesahl, executive assistant.

? Lamers Bus Lines, with locations in Wisconsin and Florida, received the Green Highway Award from the United Motorcoach Association. The award recognizes the motorcoach company's commitment to green stewardship.

? Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council has named Schneider National a "Green Professional," honoring the company for its ongoing energy-saving initiatives.
