Those crossing their fingers for a significant late-February snowstorm shouldn't get their hopes up as a storm system that was forecast last week to bring a significant snowfall to the area now appears as though it will be a "normal Wisconsin snow," according to meteorologists at the National Weather Service.

The system that will bring snow to Northeastern Wisconsin is expected to weaken by the time it reaches the area Thursday night, Wolf said, but will be stronger and dump more snow on the areas to the south and west.
