Packers cut veteran Saturday

The Green Packers cut recently retired center Jeff Saturday on Monday in a move that immediately clears $3.75 million in salary-cap room.

Releasing Saturday also allows him to sign a one-day contract with the Indianapolis Colts and retire as a member of that franchise, where he spent the first 13 years of his NFL career.
