On Feb. 22, Jay Manufacturing, a full-service custom metal fabricator, and Fox Valley Technical College will be hosting the 8th Annual American Welding Society's District 12 Meeting. The event theme is "Obtain, Sustain & Survive." Companies from large OEMs to small-sized companies all face the same dilemma - a shortage of skilled, qualified welders and metal fabricators.

This event will include tours at Jay Manufacturing Oshkosh, Inc., which recently finished a $6 million infrastructure and technology expansion, as well as the Fox Valley Technical College's new Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center. After the tours, the event continues to LaSure's banquet hall for several speakers on the subjects of what the industries can and will do to solve the workforce shortages facing the welding industry.

For additional information, contact Chris Boycks at mattj@jaymanufacturing.com or (920) 235-1770, ext. 17.
