Nursing home report sensationalistic

I'm disappointed that rare occurrences in a small sample of skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) - or nursing homes - have made front-page news.

The vast majority of SNFs are staffed by the most caring and conscientious employees in health care. For instance, at Golden LivingCenter-Dorchester in Door County, 31 out of 100 employees have been with the company more than 20 years. Their love and dedication to caring for a vulnerable population is the norm in the SNF/nursing home industry.

I hope that readers understand the sensationalism of this report, which doesn't represent the majority of SNFs/nursing homes in Wisconsin.
