"Oh my, look at those beautiful blue eyes." I hear that all the time. It's true, I guess, my eyes are the prettiest blue you can imagine.

My name is Anastasi,a and I'm here with my friend, Wellington. He is also a pointed Siamese. I'm 8, and he's 12. We are best of friends and must be adopted together.

We're big cats, too, weighing in at 13 pounds. I think you should stop in to meet us. If we're not exactly what you're looking for, I'll bet one of the others here will be just right.

If you think you could provide a good home for us or any of the other pets here, please go to the website and check out the pictures and descriptions. Most of the cats cost $30 (some only $10) to adopt. Most of the dogs cost only $60. You can apply to adopt online or in person at the shelter.

There are 25 cats or kittens and 38 dogs or puppies here now. Surely we will have one that would be just right for you.

Cat There are so many wonderful cats up for adoption right now. We are offering any two cats for the price of one during this time. This includes a lot of cats that have already been spayed/neutered, blood-tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped and treated for internal and external parasites. If you were ever thinking of getting a cat or two, this is a great time to do it!

If you've not been to a shelter because you felt they would be sad, dreary, dead-end places, you really need to stop in at CCHS. This shelter is a bright, clean and happy place where the pets are well-cared for and loved while they wait for their new homes. We'd be glad to give you a tour of the building and show you the pets available for adoption, too. We know you will be very happy with what you'll see here. You'll probably even want to join us and be part of this life-saving organization.

Please remember to keep your outdoor pet safe during the cold winter months. They need proper shelter from the wind, access to unfrozen water and good food. They need you to help them make it through the winter.

The state-licensed Clark County Humane Shelter is 7 miles southeast of Neillsville on Highway 73, PO Box 127, Neillsville WI 54456. Call 715-743-4550 or log on to www.cchs-petshelter.org. The shelter is open from noon to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
