Local historian publishes book on Neillsville's pioneers

Anyone's who's been living in Neillsville or has visited the community most likelyhas seen some of the beautiful homes.

Their history, architecture and first owners have been thoroughly researched and that work recently has been published by Patricia "Pat" Lacey of Neillsville. She is a National Register consultant, researcher and author of "The Pioneer Spirit of Early Neillsville: Men of Courage, Men of Hardship."

She has documented the lives of 29 Neillsville pioneers, showcasing the homes and commercial structures they built. Stories of the railroad, fire department, ...
