Nonprofits urged to apply for grants to tackle local poverty issues

The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation encourages nonprofit organizations to apply for grants from the Basic Needs Giving Partnership. These grants aim to support creative long-term solutions that help people move out of poverty and avoid a single crisis from triggering an ongoing lack of resources.

Organizations in Winnebago County, Waushara County, Green Lake County and the city of Ripon are eligible. The deadline to apply is March 1. To apply online, go to http://www.oshkoshareacf.org/grants_ao_g.cfm?cid=10.
