Manitowoc County under winter weather advisory Friday

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a winter weather advisory for Manitowoc County, in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

A band of light to moderate snow will push into the area overnight and persist through the day on Friday before tapering off to flurries early Friday evening.

Snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches are expected. East winds will increase to 10 to 20 mph Friday morning, with gusts approaching 30 mph near the lakeshore. The combination of snow and winds will lead to reduced visibilities and snow-covered roads making travel hazardous for the morning ...
