Woodland management classes to begin

A dream for many people is to own and perhaps live in the woods.

Many people buy 30 or 40 acres of woods for deer hunting or firewood. These new landowners soon want to get more out of their woods. Perhaps they want more income or bigger deer or maple sap for syrup.

A new series of classes will help woodland owners get the most out of their woodland. The series of five classes begins March 4 and will continue on every other Monday through April 29. Classes will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the beautiful Nepco Lake Park Shelter, 1410 Griffith Ave., Wisconsin Rapids. The fee is $45 for all five classes. Classes ...
