Plymouth girl's art wins state contest

Sophie Schneider of Plymouth won the Junior Category of the 2013 Wisconsin Aviation Art Contest with this picture. She will now advance to the national competition in Washington, D.C.

A Sheboygan County youth won the 2013 poster design contest sponsored by the Wisconsin Bureau of Aeronautics, in the Department of Transportation.

Sophie Ana Schneider, of Plymouth, took first place in the Junior Category, for ages 6 to 9. Schneider, along with eight other Wisconsin youths in three different age categories, will advance to the national Aviation Art Contest for judging in Washington, D.C.

First place winners from each of the three age groups have the option of selecting a $100 art supply ...
