State wrestling update: Stephenson wins first match

Sturgeon Bay's Lucas Stephenson overpowered Catholic Memorial's Justin Dentici, 10-5, Thursday night in the Division 2, 182-pound preliminaries at the WIAA state high school wrestling tournament in Madison.

Stephenson (42-2) will wrestle later today in the quarterfinals against Sparta's Kyle Burkhalter (38-6).

In another Division 2 preliminary match Thursday, Sparta's John Roddick beat Southern Door's Hunter Pawelski, 5-2, at 120 pounds. ...
