What: Midwest Conference women's basketball tournament.

Where: Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa.

Today's semifinals: 5 p.m. - No. 4 Carroll vs. No. 1 Cornell; 7 p.m. - No. 3 St. Norbert vs. No. 2 Monmouth.

Saturday's championship (winner earns NCAA Division III berth): 3 p.m.

Cornell (22-1, 17-1 MWC): The Rams are hosting their first MWC tourney in first year back in the conference since 1997. ?Defeated MWC opponents by average margin of 19.9 points. ?Top scorers are Camille Marie (13.5 points), Rikki Mulloy (13.3) and Taylor Dicus (12.4).

Monmouth (19-4, 14-4): Captured first tournament title in school history last year as No. 2 seed. ? Second in MWC scoring (75.6). ?Zipporah Williams (13.1 points, 8.9 rebounds) and Marla Willard (12.9, 9.7) lead the Fighting Scots.

St. Norbert (15-8, 12-6): Seeking third NCAA Division III tournament berth in the last four years. ? String of three straight regular-season titles was broken with its third-place finish. ? The Green Knights lead the MWC in scoring defense (50.3). ? Krista Hawkinson leads the team in scoring (11.2) and Tasha Giese in rebounding (7.0).

Carroll (13-8, 12-6): Making third straight MWC tournament appearance. ? Riding four-game winning streak, including victories over St. Norbert and Monmouth. ? Emily DeNoyer (12.0, 4.9) leads the Pioneers.
