Kronenwetter, Weston develop plans to support public works partnership

Officials from two neighboring villages plan to work in the future to share staff members and equipment.

During a Feb. 19 joint meeting, Kronenwetter's Properties and Infrastructure Committee and Administrative Policy Committee agreed on a recommendation to the Village Board to pursue plans with the village of Weston to share public works personnel and equipment.

Kronenwetter will hire its own public works director to handle daily village needs, but officials said sharing equipment and more experienced personnel with Weston will help cut future costs associated with public works ...
