A 32-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of North Central Avenue for allegedly violating his probation. The man was booked and transported to Wood County Jail.

A 48-year-old Marshfield man reported at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday that he was the victim of identity theft after receiving a credit card bill in the mail for $1,046, for which he did not sign up.

A 21-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody at 11:45 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of West Fourth Street for a valid Rothschild Police Department warrant. He was booked and released after posting bond.

A 44-year-old Marshfield woman reported that her 16-year-old daughter had run away at 12:15 p.m. Thursday. While police were at the woman's home, the mother made contact with her daughter over the phone, at which time the daughter allegedly admitted to stealing two vehicles from Wisconsin Rapids. Information was forwarded to the Wisconsin State Patrol, who took the daughter into custody in the Racine area.

Fire, ambulance

Ambulances responded to four medical emergencies in Marshfield and one in Arpin on Thursday, including two medical transports and two people experiencing chest pains.
