GREEN BAY - Schneider National has achieved the Green Professional designation from the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. In 2012, Schneider National continued its 30-plus-year commitment to operating one of the most energy-efficient fleets in the industry. During the last 12 months, the company adjusted facility and building energy usage, which included new high-efficiency lighting installed on the exterior of the company's operating center in Portland, Ore., and interior lights at its Green Bay buildings were changed, which resulted in energy savings of 12.5 percent.

OSHKOSH - The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation is marking its 85th anniversary this year. The foundation was established on Feb. 14, 1928. Since its inception it has awarded about $70 million in grants.
