It's that time of year again, time to put all of the accumulated knowledge, reporting and observational skills honed by watching hundreds of movies into play, to come up with a sure-fire Academy Awards predictions list.

OK, not really. But this year, with the exception of a few categories (Daniel Day-Lewis is the only best-actor nominee who need worry about polishing up an acceptance speech), it really does come down to guessing. ...
