Housing market shows positive trend

January home sales reports aren't particularly good indicators of the market, but the information is useful for projecting which way the market will trend. Based on the latest report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association, 2013 might be a good year for house sales in central Wisconsin, local real estate agents say.

Compared with January 2012, existing home sales last month grew by more than 18 percent across the state, according to the report. Median home sales also increased by about 34 percent during the same time period.
