In 2003, the Point Bock Run became almost more popular to watch than it was to run.

That had a lot to do with the free beer that race sponsor Point Brewery gave out to spectators as well as participants.

And the free beer hasn't caused problems. The race has grown into one of the most popular races in Wisconsin and one of the most exclusive. It also is one of the safest and most well-run, local law enforcement officials say. ...
