Conventionally, the Oshkosh North's boys basketball team employs a variety of zone defenses to stymie teams and create offense.

But in an unconventional game, it sometimes requires a team to go against convention.

That's exactly what the Spartans did, going on a run by using man-to-man defense and surviving two late 3-point attempts from the Appleton East Patriots to win 37-35 in a WIAA Division 1 regional final game at the Oshkosh North Fieldhouse on Saturday. ...
