Students at Wausau East High School say that news coverage of recent racially charged fights at their school has been overblown and that most students there value racial tolerance.

But the fact that racial epithets thrown about on Facebook and in person prior to two confrontations in the school's cafeteria - one on Feb. 15 and another related yelling-and-pushing match days earlier - has put the spotlight on both incidents and the school's atmosphere.
