AASD approves sites for 4K program

The Appleton Board of Education voted Monday to approve 25 childcare sites for their Community 4K program, which will begin in the fall.

To qualify as a 4K childcare partner, sites had to have operated for at least one year, be licensed with the state Department of Children and Families or Department of Public Instruction and have a YoungStar rating of at least 3. AASD gave some exceptions to community partners who do not yet have a YoungStar rating.
