A former Ashwaubenon jewelry store owner may have been suicidal, had a drug habit and dating an exotic dancer even though he was married, but that doesn't make him a thief, his lawyer said Monday.

Tyler Kosmoski "was not living his life right," lawyer Eric Wimberger said, "but that doesn't mean he was doing anything illegal with other people's money. He's not the nicest guy, but that doesn't mean he took anything."
