Almost from the start, it was evident that Saturday night was not going to be Gibraltar's night.

The 12th-seeded Vikings fell into a 17-0 hole and never recovered, as No. 4 Hilbert ran away to a 77-45 win in a WIAA Division 5 high school boys basketball regional semifinal game at Hilbert.

"We just lost to a better team, that's what it pretty much boils down to," Gibraltar coach Kent Sitte said. "We knew all the things they did coming in, we just couldn't do anything against it. We had to play pretty close to a perfect game tonight, and we didn't do that." ...
