Barnie Haen bowling column: Pfannenstiel rolls her second 700

Over time, 700 or greater series for women in the local association have more or less equaled the 800s or better for men. In fact, 26 such series have been rolled in Door County bowling history by each sex, respectively.

However, although 20 of the 26 men's 800 series have been recorded in the past four years, women have only topped the 700 mark three times in the same time period.

The latest to scale that mountain was Michelle Pfannenstiel, who shot 702 on Monday, Feb. 18, in the Apple Valley Classic league on games of 228-244-230. It was Pfannenstiel's second 700 series, barely missing a career ...
