Rep. Reid Ribble has drafted legislation he says could break the stalemate between Congress and the White House over $85 billion in automatic budget cuts that are set to take effect on Friday.

Ribble, R-Sherwood, introduced a bill on Monday that would give President Barack Obama's administration discretion over what programs to cut to achieve the spending reduction level required under the 2011 deal to increase the nation's debt limit.
