Join Thuy Smith International and the Lake Hallie Eagle's Club on March 9 at Lake Hallie Eagle's Club, 2588 Hallie Road, Chippewa Falls, along with Rep. Ron Kind, Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls City Councils and Vietnam-era veterans and their families for the fourth annual Vietnam Veterans Day Community event. It is a day to remember, learn and share varied American experience and sacrifice.

The event includes educational, reflective and tribute displays by Vietnam veterans, children and grandchildren of Vietnam veterans and others in the community from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. At 3 p.m. local veterans service officers will provide a question-and-answer session on veteran benefits. The main ceremony at 4 p.m. will recognize Purple Heart recipients and Hmong T-28 pilots, with a remembrance of those listed on the Vietnam Wall memorial and presentation by Hmong youths.
