A program that helps Fox Valley homeowners facing foreclosure remains underused - a fact local leaders want to change.

About 10 percent of eligible owners who face foreclosure within each county served by the Winnebago Conflict Resolution Center take advantage of the program, said executive director Michael Rust.

The program brings homeowners and lenders together to discuss the possibility of changing loan terms, allowing homeowners to possibly continue making payments and keep their house. The program is available to residents of Calumet, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Marquette, ...
