Broad jump and shuttle run. "Argo" and Tarantino. T-Plush and The Gravedigger. An odd collection awaits as our weekly journey through the world of sports continues ? one tweet at a time:

The hot topic

Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium again served as the backdrop for the NFL's Scouting Combine, an annual showcase for college players to improve, solidify or ruin their draft status. The four-day event wrapped up Tuesday

Execs, coaches and scouts from all 32 NFL teams showed up in Indy to test the wannabes in strength, agility, speed, jumping ability and intelligence. Ah, but can these guys play football? Game day often tells the true tale. So, too, do the tweets:

? To everyone wondering about my little fall... All is good no serious injury I will finish up my shuttles and vertical jump at pro day mar 26. - @AJKlein47: Iowa State star linebacker and former Kimberly High School standout A.J. Klein, easing concerns after he went down with a knee injury while participating in a drill.

? Great time at the combine! Will continue to grind for our pro day! Need to improve on a few things but all in all my film speaks for itself. - @M_Ball28: University of Wisconsin tailback Montee Ball, whose 4.66 seconds in the 40-yard dash ranked 19th among the 33 running backs who attended the combine.

? Most dramatic change I've seen so far at #NFLCombine is receiver speed. Slower 40 time was 4.74. Five receivers ran under 4.4. Unbelievable. - @Gil_Brandt: analyst and former longtime Dallas Cowboys vice president of player personnel Gil Brandt.

? Great workout today at the Combine!! Really happy and a huge weight is lifted from my shoulders! #IMGDraftPrep - @Margus_Hunt: SMU defensive end Margus Hunt. Consider it a literal and figurative tweet after the 6-foot-8, 280-pound senior topped or tied all combine participants by completing 38 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press.

? It's not all about 40 times but these dudes running fast at the combine are actually some good players. - @show_case29: Green Bay Packers cornerback Casey Hayward.

My "favorite" tweets

? Indiana does NOT lose the No. 1 overall seed if defeated at Minnesota. - @ESPNLunardi: ESPN bracketologist and college basketball guru Joe Lunardi. The Gophers stunned top-ranked Indiana on Tuesday, which means mid-major behemoth and No. 2 Gonzaga could move up to No. 1 in the national rankings. So, the 'Zags are the new Butler? But wasn't Butler the new Gonzaga? College hoops is so confusing these days.

? Sun is Rising Plush is stretching, solid yawn and now for My People Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wake up - @TheRealToneP: Former Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan, who will be playing baseball this season in Japan. Apparently, "aaaaaaaahhhhhh" is a universal word.

? Hi Oscars... I'm John Axford... And I just dominated you! 14 out of 15! - @JohnAxford: Brewers closer John Axford, on correctly predicting who would win the Oscar in 14 of 15 categories. Bravo. Now, let's hope you put as much time into sharpening your command as you have in your movie viewing.

? Damn you Girl Scout cookies. Too good to resist. - @alexmorgan13: U.S. women's soccer standout Alex Morgan. Damn you, Thin Mints!

#FF ? someone you should follow

Former Green Bay Packers nose tackle Gilbert Brown (@GilbertBrown). "The Gravedigger" is as fun-loving on Twitter as he is in person. The Packers Hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion recently launched a weekly feature in which he asks fans to tweet their top choices in a Packers-related topic. This week's entry: Who are the top five running backs in Packers history. Or, as he put it: "Who really carried the mail?" His tweets:

? Thank u so much to everyone who wished me a happy b day...It sucks we got to get old...Cus I miss choking 300 pound grown men 2 at a time :)

? #MMRC hey I'm gonna miss watching two great packers on and off the field play in the green and gold next year... 80 and 21 if u can dig that

What is your favorite Wisconsin sports mascot and why? Tweet your answers using the hashtag #tellbrett. I'll publish the best in next week's column.

Last week's #tellbrett question: Which team is built for a longer NCAA men's tourney run: Marquette or Wisconsin?

? Lucius (@KramKrakers) - Marquette, relentless defensively, if they can get paint touches they are golden#NoPun

? B.J. Buss (@bjbuss) - Badgers might have the best defensive team in the NCAA

? Nick Aman (@nick_aman) - Wisconsin... Defense, slow pace, and 3 point shooting can go a long way. Probably another Sweet 16 appearance

? Kyle Ashauer (@KyleAshauer) - Wisconsin. Their defense allows games to stay close when they have their scoring lulls. And when they don't, watch out.

? Justin Hull (@JHull_Sports) - I want to say Wisconsin, but their rash of scoreless stretches makes me go Marquette

The world according to Tom Crabtree: Green Bay Packers tight end, Twitter legend and our Clubhouse Live co-host:

? I'm going to build an exact replica of the iceberg that sank the Titanic and follow the Titanic II around for awhile. - @TCrabtree83

Funny or disturbing? You make the call.
