Business council looks to extend reach with enhanced expo

Looking to reach a wider audience, the Portage County Business Council overhauled its annual expo including a new name.

Traditionally a two-day event, this year will feature activities across five days beginning Monday. The event, now called Business/Consumer Marketplace, still will have its signature expo, but also will have other events at a variety of locations in Stevens Point.

"We just felt like we had a lot of things we wanted to squeeze into this event, and there weren't enough hours in a couple of days to do it," said Mary Jo Monday, director of member relations for the PCBC. ...
