The moment hasn't quite sunk in for the Bay Port wrestling team, but everyone associated with the program understands its significance.

For the first time in program history, the Pirates will compete at the WIAA Division 1 team state tournament when they square off against Menomonee Falls in the quarterfinals Friday at the UW Field House in Madison.

It's a day members of the team have had in the back of their minds since they started wrestling in the school's youth program, but a goal that hasn't always been tangible for area D1 teams lumped into the same sectional as 21-time state champion ...
