County Expo 'busy' with no tax subsidy

Jeff Beyer, county Public Works director, gave an overview Tuesday night to supervisors on the operational status of the Manitowoc County Expo on the city's west side.

While some city and county residents only visit the Expo during County Fair week in late August, Beyer told supervisors the Expo "is a very busy operation with lots of things going on" and does so with no tax levy dollars subsidizing expenses and capital improvements.
