Amherst rolls into sectional finals behind Glennon

Top-seeded Falcons to play another school with losing record

WESTON - The Amherst boys basketball team found itself in a familiar position after rolling to a 70-50 victory over Oconto in a WIAA Division 4 sectional semifinal game Thursday night at the D.C. Everest Fieldhouse.

Now the top-seeded Falcons (21-3) are hoping for a different result in their return trip to the sectional finals where they will face another team with a losing record in sixth-seeded Reedsville (11-15) in search of their first state tournament berth since 1998. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Waupaca.
