Eau Claire North 'bigs' too much for West to handle

Eau Claire North got big plays from their "bigs" at big times in Friday night's WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal playoff game against Wausau West.

Senior post player Kayonna Lee overcame first-half foul trouble to score a game-high 22 points while frontcourt mate Jasmyne Hazelton scored nine of her 16 points during a pivotal second quarter to propel the No. 5-seeded Huskies to a 69-65 victory over the No. 4-seeded Warriors at the West Fieldhouse.

The win moves North (17-6) into a regional final game at No. 1-seed Superior tonight while the Wisconsin Valley Conference co-champion Warriors ...
