Friends, family mourn murder victim Kira Trevino

The stark reality that a cherished daughter, sister and friend is gone forever hit home Friday night at Bethany Baptist Church, where nearly 200 people gathered in an emotionally charged vigil to mourn and pray for Kira Trevino, the missing St. Paul, Minn., woman now presumed dead.

Since Trevino, 30, was first reported missing Feb. 22, friends and family members held out hope the 2001 D.C. Everest High School graduate still was alive. That changed Thursday, when Trevino's husband was charged with her murder, and family members knew that all hope for Trevino's safe return was gone.
