Greenwood transportation grant will promote industry

Greenwood has received a $140,000 grant from the state Department of Transportation to offset the cost of a new street and two intersection improvements that will allow access to the Dubay Biofuels manufacturing facility.

Dubay Biofuels is a subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Caseus Energy. The Greenwood facility, like Caseus' Stratford demonstration plant, will convert dairy industry waste called whey permeate into cattle feed and ethanol energy.
