WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Wood County Sheriff's Department K-9 Toro will be back on the job Friday, county authorities said Tuesday.

At about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wood County Sheriff's Department Deputy Doug Christianson found Toro about a half mile from where he disappeared Sunday evening, Sheriff Thomas Reichert said during a Tuesday afternoon news conference in Wisconsin Rapids. Christianson found Toro eating from a deer carcass.

The deputy used commands and the leash still attached to the dog's collar to get control of the animal, Reichert said. ...
