Green Bay Southwest football coach Bryce Paup has stepped down after six seasons with the team to take an assistant coaching job at the University of Northern Iowa.

The former Green Bay Packers linebacker told his team of the decision at a meeting on Monday night. He did not return a message left for him on his cell phone.

It seems likely that Paup will be linebackers coach at Northern Iowa. That position was one of three assistant coaching openings at the school. ...
