Governor listens to big money

Now that Gov. Scott Walker has divided Wisconsin, he wants things to quiet down until he drops his next bomb. In the meantime, obsequious sycophants have silently slithered through the revolving door and have returned to lobby their legislative friends. They come armed with the model bills secretly drafted by ALEC designed to profit large corporations. They want to extract funds from public schools and shift them to corporations that profit from teaching children with the opportunity to teach them the radical right-wing philosophy of Ayn Rand.

Lobbyists will work hard for the billionaires and corporations that contributed to Walker's campaign. This is payback time for the donors to receive corporate welfare. Corporations will expect right-to-work laws in exchange for their campaign contributions, which will bring down wages and make working conditions worse. The rollback of environmental protection is already in progress. Expect more model bills to show up from ALEC.

As lobbyists importune the GOP Legislature, one can be sure that ALEC and other donors will be happy with their returns. It appears that Wisconsin legislators can walk out the door one day and come back the next day as a lobbyist.
