Employee suffers burns at Tomahawk-area mill

The third worker in less than a year at Packaging Corp. of America was severely burned Tuesday morning while working at the mill.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the mill on Highway E at 9:41 a.m. Tuesday after a 911 caller reported that an employee was burned, according to a news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department.

The employee, who's name has not yet been released by PCA or authorities, was burned eight months after Dennis Gougeon, 47, and Dustin Hale, 29, were severely burned and killed by a byproduct of burning coal. Neither man was wearing protective clothing when the ...
