An Adams County judge set a $250,000 cash bond Monday for a 28-year-old city of Adams man authorities say fatally shot his girlfriend.

Coleman E. Dybul made a bond hearing at about noon Monday in Adams County Circuit Court, Adams County Sheriff Sam Wollin said. Authorities arrested Dybul on Saturday on suspicion of first-degree reckless homicide.

At 1:48 a.m. Saturday, Dybul called the Adams County Sheriff's Department and said he was asleep at his residence, 117 N. Elm St., Adams, when his girlfriend startled him, and he shot her with a shotgun he kept near the bed, Adams County Sheriff's ...
